The coming year will mark an important new chapter…
From June 2026 onwards, SERAFRICA founder Serafina will spend a full year in Tanzania and Ghana. Taking an unpaid leave from her work as an occupational therapist in Vienna, she will be working closely with local partners, supporting project implementation, and gaining deeper insight into healthcare systems, rehabilitation services, schools, and community structures.
A particular focus will be on collaboration with Maasai communities, learning from daily life, understanding local priorities, and developing projects together with the people they are intended to serve.
Future initiatives include:
- Supporting access to education through school fees and school materials.
- Installing water tanks at schools.
- Expanding access to solar energy in rural communities.
- Supporting healthcare and rehabilitation services.
- Strengthening sustainable community-led development.
