Looking Back, Moving Forward:
When SERAFRICA was officially founded in August 2025, it was built on a simple belief: sustainable change happens through partnership, respect, and a willingness to learn from one another.
What started as a vision has already become a growing network of people across continents who share the desire to create opportunities in education, healthcare, and community development.
How It All Began
Before SERAFRICA was founded, experiences in Tanzania and Ghana offered valuable insights into the realities, challenges, strengths, and resilience of local communities. Encounters with inspiring individuals, schools, hospitals, orphanages, and Maasai villages demonstrated how much impact committed people can have on the lives of others.
These experiences laid the foundation for what would later become SERAFRICA.
Building Partnerships
From the very beginning, local partnership has been at the heart of our work.
Rather than bringing outside solutions, we believe in listening first. The people who live within a community understand their needs, priorities, and opportunities better than anyone else. Sustainable development can only succeed when local knowledge, leadership, and experience are placed at the center.
Today, SERAFRICA works alongside dedicated partners in Tanzania and Ghana, including Geofrey, Nathan, and Isaac, whose commitment and local expertise guide many of our activities.

…is our trusted local partner in Tanzania. He helps to ensure that SERAFRICA‘s projects are guided by local priorities, community knowledge, and sustainable collaboration.

…is SERAFRICA‘s key partner in Ghana, bringing valuable local knowledge, dedication, and deep commitment to support his community, especially children in need.
Nathan
…serves as an important bridge between SERAFRICA and the Maasai community, ensuring that local voices, traditions, and priorities remain at the heart of our work.
What We Achieved in 2025
Although SERAFRICA is still young, the first months have already brought meaningful progress.
Education
- Supported children’s access to education through school fee assistance.
- Equipped one school class with a laptop, reducing examination costs and improving administrative and educational opportunities.
- Distributed school supplies and learning materials.
- Supported schools and educational initiatives in rural communities.
Health & Community Development
- Supported healthcare-related initiatives and strengthened connections with local hospitals.
- Conducted awareness sessions on children’s rights, hygiene, and girls’ education.
- Continued planning for future healthcare and rehabilitation projects.
Children & Social Support
- Supported one orphanage in Tanzania and one orphanage in Ghana.
- Organized a Christmas program for approximately ten children, including activities such as decorating gingerbread cookies and celebrating together.
- Created opportunities for children to participate in joyful community activities and receive practical support.
Sustainability
- Continued planning for future water, solar energy, and community development projects.
- Strengthened relationships with local communities to ensure future projects are driven by local needs and priorities.
Learning From Different Ways of Life
One of the most valuable aspects of this journey has been the opportunity to learn from people whose daily lives may look very different from our own.
Whether visiting Maasai communities, schools, hospitals, or families, each encounter has provided a deeper understanding of culture, traditions, responsibilities, and resilience.
We have learned that there is no single way of living well. Different communities develop different solutions, values, and ways of supporting one another. These perspectives continue to shape the way SERAFRICA approaches its work.
